Apparently there was an opening for "Mommy's Helper" and Emily signed up to be it. Glad that she did because I need all the help I can get. Some examples include trying to dress herself, trying to put on her shoes, getting mommy and daddy's shoes for them (she usually matches them correctly),wiping floors,wiping tables,closing doors behind us,and cleaning up messes she makes. Speaking of messes,the other day she had gotten into a cabinet in the kitchen. Said cabinet holds the cereal. Said Emily loves to help herself to said cereal. Unfortunately when she had her fill she decided to dump the cereal on the floor. Well mommy got flustered and let Emily know just how flustered mommy was. So, Emily began to pick up the cereal and put them back into the bag. I praised her by telling her "good girl" and "good job." Well, she decided to go for an encore performance (except this time she mixed it up and dumped it on the couch) the next day. While helping me put the cereal back she said "good job." Apparently she was grading her own performance. That or she thought I was doing a good job. Now if only I can teach her in order to be "Mommy's Helper" doesn't mean she is supposed to be the source of the mess that she helps me clean up.

Emily Quotes
"It's too fall" Translation: It's too unstable and I might fall.
"I burped" Translation: I farted.
"I did ___ last night" Translation: Anything that happened in the past, whether it be a few minutes ago or days ago, to her it happened last night.
"My __ is growing" Translation: Whether it be her arm or her foot, if she can't fit something on it (usually an article of clothing) it means that it must be growing.
"I can't do this right now" No translation needed but I find it cute that she can express her feelings when she's feeling frustrated and/or defeated and doesn't want to do something.
"Oh my gosh" It just sounds so funny coming from a 3 year old and she says it with such disbelief in her voice.
"I'm crying right now" Translation: If she's upset about something and she's crying about it and you ask her do something she doesn't want to do in the midst of her crying she uses this as an excuse as to why she can't do what you're asking her to do.
"Hold you me." She used to say "hold you" instead of "hold me". Recently she changed it to "hold you me." She's so close to getting it right. :)
"It's too poison for me." She says this when she doesn't like the taste of something. She also says "it's too sour" for the same reason. We've told her that some inedible things are poison and so she just adopted it to mean she doesn't like something. The sour thing came about when I asked her if her milk was too sour one day. Now, even if it's not sour, she uses this as a reason not to eat or drink something.
"I'm stinky"- It's not the phrase itself but why she's says it that amuses me. She says this every morning while standing outside my door. Usually after I open my door she'll be standing there and then tell me "I need breakfast." I guess it's the whole yelling "Fire!" concept. You know, yelling "fire" is more likely to get other people's attention over any other phrase. I think she thinks that if she yells anything but "I'm stinky" she won't be able to get me to get up. I don't know why.

"When I'm 16 I can ______." Emily asked me if she could have some coffee. I told her that she could when she was 16. Well, now when I tell she can't do other things, she says she can when she's 16.
